The majority, or 72%, of employees in the Czech Republic were satisfied with their job in 2018, this is an increase of 12% compared to 2017, according to data from Grafton Recruitment.

Grafton found that the most satisfied employees were in the IT industry.

Meanwhile, Grafton also found that two-thirds (67%) of employees received a pay rise in 2018 which the company said contributed to the overall employee satisfaction at work, this is 14% more than in 2017.

Jitka Součková, Marketing Manager at Grafton Recruitment said that salary was the main motivator for employees. Součková added that if employers want to keep their employees then “they have to pay them well.”

In addition to salary, the meaningfulness of work (26%) and a good team (18%) were also found to be key motivators for employees.
