Blend acquires Israel-based Manpower Language Solutions

23 February 2024

Blend acquired Manpower Language Solutions, a provider of translation and staffing services, in a deal announced 21 February. Manpower Language Solutions, or MLS, was founded in 1992 and formerly owned by ManpowerGroup Israel. It’s based in Petah Tikva (near to Tel Aviv), Israel.

The deal will enhance the combined strengths of both companies, according to the press announcement by Blend. MLS brings particular experience and linguistic talent in Hebrew and Arabic. “MLS brings a long-lasting legacy as a professional localization boutique, a strong portfolio of loyal customers, and a great pool of talents that have been working together for many years,” Blend CEO Yair Tal said in a press release. “We see the growing interest of global brands in the Israeli market, and the Hebrew language, and we’re happy to expand our offerings and strengthen our ‘Blend Israel’ division.”

Blend itself provides translation services and staffing. It was founded in 2008 as OneHourTranslation; it rebranded in 2021. It has more than 100 employees and thousands of freelancers. The company is based in Tel Aviv, Israel.

“I’m very proud of MLS’ growth journey over the years that has built its strong positioning in Israel, and I am sure that MLS will continue to expand under Blend,” Amnon Reder, country manager for ManpowerGroup Israel, said in a press release.

“There is no better place for this activity which was part of the ManpowerGroup for so many years,” Reder said. “I’d like to thank MLS retiring CEO Shulamit Gilan for her long-term service and wish the MLS team lots of luck within their new home.”
