Belgium – Temporary workers’ hours increase in August: Federgon

The number of hours worked by temporary agency workers in Belgium in August edged up by 0.55% when compared to the same period last year, according to Federgon, the Belgian Federation of Staffing Agencies.

The white-collar sector posted a year-over-year increase of 2.17% while the blue-collar sector reported a slight decrease of 0.66%.

Federgon also reported month-to-month figures showing that the number of hours worked by temporary agency workers edged up by 0.5% in August when compared to July. The white-collar segment reported an increase of 1.18% while the blue-collar sector saw little change in the number of hours worked.

The Federgon index reached 113.9 points in August 2018, up from 113.3 points in the prior month.
