Belgium – Online job vacancies rise in 2018

The number of unique job vacancies posted online in Belgium grew by 12% in 2018 when compared to 2017, according to an analysis by Jobfeed, Textkernel's Big Data tool for vacancies.

Unique job vacancies refer to the number of job vacancies that remain after deduplication. Jobfeed’s data showed that 1,087,543 unique vacancies were posted online in Belgium in 2018. The total number of job vacancies was 3,313,461, an increase of 17% compared to 2017.

More than a third of all vacancies are for one of the top three professional categories (sales & trade, administration & customer service, and production).

Meanwhile, the provinces of Antwerp, West and East Flanders together accounted for a market share of 58.7%.

In terms of interim vacancies, posted, staffing giant Randstad had the largest share in 2018.
