Artificial intelligence is filtering millions of qualified candidates out of the workforce, Euronews reported. “One of the claims that companies make about AI-powered hiring tools is that, unlike a human recruiter, an AI-powered tool doesn’t see gender and doesn’t see race or other characteristics about us,” Kerry McInerney, a research fellow at the Leverhulme Centre for the Future of Intelligence at the University of Cambridge, told Euronews. “But I’m really skeptical of this idea that technologies are inherently more objective than human recruiters because ultimately they’re trained on the same biased data produced by human recruiters."
