A closer look at building the staffing firm of the future – Executive Forum Europe

30 November 2023

In the rapidly evolving landscape of the workforce solutions ecosystem, building the staffing firms of the future will mean embracing data, AI, compliance, ESG (environmental, social, and corporate governance), and maintaining the key element of people.

These were the top considerations discussed in today’s Executive Forum Europe session ‘Building the Staffing Firm of the Future’, in which SIA COO Ursula Williams asked panellists to define what companies and executives need to focus on for success.

Panellists included CEO of Gibbs Hybird Farida Gibbs; World Employment Confederation President Bettina Schaller and CEO of the TASC Group Mahesh Shahdadpuri.

Anticipate change

Anticipating change and acting fast will be key to building a staffing firm of the future.

In an increasingly digital world, staffing firms are increasingly exposed to cybersecurity attacks and fraud. To protect themselves — and their clients — firms will need to able to create, organise, and protect the data they gather and store.

Staying on top of regulation will be crucial as regulators will likely continue to crack down on bad players. Building the firm of the future demands close attention to compliance as well as staying ahead of their competitors when it comes to legal developments.

Create community

While data and artificial intelligence will dominate the future, establishing a strong community within the industry will also be paramount: Firms must create partnerships and engage in collaborative efforts to thrive.

This so-called people element extends to relationships with clients and candidates. Focusing on these relationships will be vital for firms that look to grow into the future.

Relationships with the environment will also be crucial, panelists said. Embracing ESG will not only enhance firms' reputations, but also contribute to a positive impact on the broader community, and create opportunities in sustainable ways.
