SIA Announces 14th Annual Healthcare Staffing Summit

New Directions in a New Era 

Mountain View, California — October 6, 2016 — Staffing Industry Analysts (SIA) has announced the full agenda and keynote sessions for the 2016 Healthcare Staffing Summit: New Directions in a New Era, taking place in November in Washington DC. 

The annual Healthcare Staffing Summit, now in its 14th year, welcomes leaders from across the healthcare staffing industry to generate insights, strategies and a best practices approach to the ever-changing demands of this diverse segment. The summit delivers opportunities for driving growth through expert speakers, thought leadership, valuable networking and interactive sessions.

This year’s Summit, which opens on the eve of the 2016 Presidential Election, features Governors Howard Dean (D) and Michael Leavitt (R) in a special keynote panel session The Morning After: What the US Election Means for Healthcare. Howard Dean is a former governor of Vermont, a physician, and a former presidential contender and chair of the Democratic National Committee. Mike Leavitt is a former governor of Utah, former Secretary of Health and Human Services, and current founder and chairman of Leavitt Partners, a healthcare consulting firm.  

John Ratliff, Managing Director of STS Capital Partners, will deliver a keynote address centered on the employee experience and the creation of a highly-engaged workforce as a competitive differentiator as he delves into how You Own the Experience of Your Employees.

The concluding keynote session of the conference, Key Regulatory Issues Impacting Your Business in a Time of Political Change, will also explore the potential implications of a new legislative environment as delegates hear perspectives from panelists Stephen Dwyer, General Counsel, American Staffing Association; Ralph Henderson, President, Professional Services and Staffing, AMN Healthcare; Dr. David Michaels, Assistant Secretary, OSHA, US Department of Labor; and Dr. David Weil, Administrator, Wage and Hour Division, US Department of Labor on topics such as the ACA and FLSA overtime regulations.
