Website Development Manager

SIA is searching for a highly experienced and versatile Website Development Manager to join our fast-growing company and team. As the Website Development Manager, the ideal candidate will be responsible for managing and maintaining our company’s website, ensuring it remains user-friendly, visual appealing and technically robust. The ideal candidate will come from a digital publishing and or membership / subscription background and have strong Drupal skills, and experience with content management, web analytics, and email marketing/campaign expertise. The Website Development Manager will report to the VP of Technology Operations and work closely across marketing, news/editorial, membership management, research, and advertising management.

Job Responsibilities:                                                                                                                                                                     

Website Development and Maintenance

  • Manage the day-to-day operations of our Drupal-based website, ensuring its functionality and usability.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into effective website solutions.
  • Key involvement in development and deployment of new website features, and functionalities using Drupal best practices.
  • Conduct thorough testing creating uses cases, for user testing for development as well as troubleshooting to identify and resolve any website-related issues.
  • Work with internal and external resources to coordinate CRM updates to the website, and other related applications in the technology stack.

 

Content Management

  • Oversee the organization and publication of website content, ensuring it aligns with our brand guidelines and objectives.
  • Work closely with content creators to ensure content is accurately formatted, tagged, and optimized for search engines.
  • Implement content updates and modifications, such as adding new pages, and multimedia elements.
  • Optimize website content for improved user experience, accessibility, and search engine rankings.

 

User Experience and Design

  • Monitor and enhance the overall user experience of the website, ensuring a seamless and intuitive navigation flow.
  • Collaborate with designers and developers to implement engaging and visually appealing website designs.
  • Ensure website design is responsive, optimized for various devices, and compatible with different browsers.
  • Implement user feedback and conduct usability testing to continuously improve the website's performance.

 

Analytics and Reporting

  • Utilize web analytics tools, such as Google Analytics, to track and analyze website performance and user behavior.
  • Generate reports on key metrics, identify trends, and provide actionable insights for website optimization.
  • Monitor website traffic, conversion rates, and other relevant metrics to measure the effectiveness of marketing campaigns.

 

Stakeholder Collaboration

  • Collaborate with internal teams, including marketing, IT, and content creators, to align website strategies with organizational goals.
  • Work closely with developers, designers, and other technical staff to ensure seamless integration of website functionalities and enhancements.
  • Provide guidance and support to content creators on website-related matters, including best practices, SEO, and content optimization.

 

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in website management, with a focus on Drupal, preferably version 9
  • Strong expertise in Drupal CMS, using Paragraphs including custom theme development, module management, and content administration.
  • Proven ability to develop and maintain complex Drupal websites, utilizing Drupal best practices and coding standards.
  • Familiarity with front-end technologies such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
  • Knowledge of website design principles, user experience best practices, and responsive design.
  • Proficiency in web analytics tools, such as Google Analytics and Adobe, to analyze website performance and user behavior.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot website-related issues effectively.
  • Excellent project management and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality website experiences.
  • Effective communication skills and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
