Curtis Starkey is a Senior Research Analyst at Staffing Industry Analysts who joined the company in mid-2019. His research coverage includes the IT skill segment and Pulse Surveys, among other topics.
Curtis holds a BS in Finance from Bradley University, an MS in Financial Analysis from the University of San Francisco, and he has passed the Level II CFA exam. His unique variety of experiences include those in research and finance as well as freelance roles in the gig economy. He spent a few years in China and Taiwan learning Chinese and working as a writer and editor for bilingual magazines before joining SIA.

Reports for the first quarter of 2022 are coming out for a number of big IT staffing companies, and the oft-cited phrase “digital transformation” continues to create job openings and robust growth in the segment.

Among all non-healthcare segments, February revenue growth was highest in none other than IT staffing, up a median 23% year over year. An astounding net 88% of participating IT staffing firms reported positive revenue growth in February, up from a net 75% in December.
