US – Majority of senior execs would change jobs now

June 05, 2013

A majority of senior executives around the world, 76 percent, are willing to change jobs immediately for the right opportunity, according to the BlueSteps 2013 Executive Mobility Report. And 48.9 percent of executives are actively looking for a new job.

Survey respondents chose “poor company values or culture” and “dissatisfaction with senior management” as the top two reasons that would most lead them to consider leaving a job, company or industry.

Thirty-eight percent of executives expect to transition industries within the next three years, while 62 percent expect to remain in their current industry for at least four years or more.

BlueSteps.com is an online career management service for senior executives. The survey was conducted in Spring 2013 and received 900 responses from BlueSteps member executives worldwide, including 48 percent from the Americas, 37 percent from EMEA and 15 percent from Asia Pacific.
