U.S. leading index slips

The Conference Board's U.S. leading index of economic indicators fell 0.4% in November and now stands 99.0 (2004=100). The largest contributors to the decline were building permits, stock prices and initial unemployment claims. Based on revised data, the index fell 0.9% in October and was unchanged in September.
