BRIEFING — Geographic staffing growth update
By our estimates, non-U.S. staffing revenue growth materially outpaced U.S. revenue growth on a constant currency basis in 1Q08 versus the year earlier. For four of four large international staffing firms, U.S. revenue declined and non-U.S. revenue increased. For more, click here.

BRIEFING — Travel nurse staffing growth update
Financial reports indicate that travel nurse staffing, while still weak, did not experience a further deceleration in the first quarter. At the same time, forward-looking comments from some of the larger players in this space are optimistic. For more, click here.

BRIEFING — Outplacement growth update
Outplacement continues to be one of the faster growing areas of staffing. In 1Q08, worldwide outplacement revenue at Adecco's Human Capital Solutions business and Manpower's Right Management increased 13.0% and 4.5% respectively, adjusted for acquisitions and currency effects. For both firms, this represents the third consecutive quarter of growth, following a long period of modest contraction. For more, click here.
