Second-quarter revenue fell 3.2% at RCM Technologies Inc. (NASD: RCMT) to $55.0 million from $56.8 million in the same period last year.

Gross margin at the Pennsauken NJ-based staffing firm, however, improved to 27.5% from 24.6%. The company said the gain in gross margin came, in part, because of two recent acquisitions.

Net income dropped 22.3% to $1.4 million from $1.9 million.
