QPS Employment Group, a Brookfield WI-based staffing firm, announced it acquired a portion of Engstrom Inc., a staffing firm based in Two Rivers WI.

Engstrom provides industrial, office/clerical, technical and professional staffing. QPS will retain Engstrom's staff and operate under the QPS name. However, Engstrom will retain a portion of its established clients, and continue to operate under the Engstrom name from the same location.

"As more companies find solid footing in 2010, the need for temporary labor is increasing," QPS Executive VP and Chief Operation Officer Dan McNulty said in a press release. "This acquisition will increase our presence in Northeastern Wisconsin and is another step in our long-term development plan."

Terms of the transaction were not announced.
