Philippines – 11 recruitment agencies lose their government licence

22 April 2014

The Philippine government has withdrawn the licences of 11 recruitment firms for their failure to comply with the requirements set by the Philippine Overseas Employment Administration (POEA), reports gmanetwork.com.

According to POEA Administrator Hans Leo Cacdac, the agencies are:

  • Summit Placement and Resources Transfer Corp.
  • BLT Global Manpower Services Inc.
  • Amirah Umaimah Human Resources Inc.
  • Human Resources Overseas Employment Agency Inc.
  • A & S Manpower Resources Inc.
  • Global Hospitality Placement Agency Philippines Corp.
  • ETT Innovative Manpower Solutions Inc.
  • Transnational Resources Inc.
  • IDC Manpower Services Inc.
  • Kookies International Recruitment Agency Inc.
  • FMR-1990 Staffing Services Inc.

The first seven agencies lost their licences for their failure to upgrade their provisional licences to full licences within the prescribed period, Mr Cacdac explained. He clarified, however, that the operators of the first seven agencies had not been blacklisted and could still open and operate new recruitment firms provided they complied with POEA rules.

Transnational Resources Inc. and IDC Manpower Services Inc. lost their licences for failure to submit applications for renewal of their licences within the prescribed period. The licences of Kookies International Recruitment Agency Inc. and FMR-1990 Staffing Services Inc. were also cancelled due to suspension from the POEA prior to expiry of their licenses. Mr Cacdac advised that the withdrawal of the licences from the final four recruitment agencies is final.
