People: The Training Associates, PrideStaff, Blue Horizon …

Here are recent promotions, new hires and other personnel announcements made by staffing firms. Today’s listings include changes at The Training Associates PrideStaff, Blue Horizon Tek Solutions, CoAdvantage, Brightwing and Quality Labor Management LLC.

The Training Associates appointed Scott Margason as chief operating officer. Margason previously worked for 27 years at Accenture, where he held a variety of positions. The Training Associates also appointed David Larson as executive vice president, worldwide sales. Larson previously was vice president, strategic alliances for The College Network, a provider of distance learning programs. The Training Associates, based in Westborough, Mass., provides learning and development consultants for information technology and professional business skills training.

National staffing franchise PrideStaff announced owner/strategic partner Tim Curtin opened a new office in South Orange County, Calif. Curtin previously held sales management positions at radio and TV advertising networks.

South Florida-based IT staffing company Blue Horizon Tek Solutions, a spin-off of Eric Roberts Associates, is led by President and CEO Eric Silverman. Silverman co-founded New York-based Eric Roberts Associates in 1991 and parted ways with his former partner in May 2011.

Professional employer organization CoAdvantage Corp. announced Chris Kephart, regional sales manager for Central Texas, is in charge of a new office in Austin, Texas. The Tampa, Fla.-based company ranks No. 12 on Staffing Industry Analysts’ 2012 list of largest PEOs.

Brightwing, a recruiting and training company, hired Emily Annand as director of human resources. Annand previously held managerial roles in the automotive, telecommunication and engineering industries. Headquartered in Troy, Mich., Brightwing has offices in Weston, Fla., and Dallas.

Sanford, Fla.-based Quality Labor Management LLC announced Star Nicholls is the owner operator of a new QLM professional skilled staffing and recruiting office in the Phoenix, Ariz., region. Nicholls is the fifth owner operator in the QLM franchising program. She has nearly 20 years of sales experience in the staffing and recruiting business.
