People: Nelson, Landrum, MDT, Construct Corps, Corporate Resource

Nelson, a Sonoma, Calif.-based staffing provider, named Chris Kelly as vice president of strategic sales. Kelly has 25 years of experience in the staffing industry and formerly served as national sales director for the west at Randstad.

Landrum Human Resource Companies named Andy Cianciotto as MIS director, responsible for setting the direction of and implementing the company’s information management strategy. Cianciotto previously served as a senior manager at Symantec. Landrum is a Pensacola, Fla.-based staffing provider

MDT Personnel named Wendy Sanders as Northern California regional manager. Sanders has 23 years’ experience in the staffing industry. MDT, based in Clearwater, Fla., provides general labor, light industrial and skilled trades staffing.

Construct Corps named Jeff Lavaty as its new president. Lavaty served as chief operating officer for an independent masonry insulation contractor and previously served as Construct Corps’ vice president of sales. Construct Corps is a skilled trades staffing firm based in Tampa, Fla.

Corporate Resource Services Inc. (OTCBB: CRRS.OB) reported that Robert Cassera stepped down as board chairman and that John Messina, company president, will serve as chairman, according to a filing with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission. The New York-based staffing firm also reported that James Foley was elected to the board. Foley has served as CFO and chief operating officer of Tri-state Employment Services Inc., which owns 90 percent of Corporate Resource Services. Cassera is president and sole owner of Tri-State, according to Corporate Resource Services’ 10-K filing with the SEC.
