People: MedSys, Dice, Lucas, Gatti, MRI, Taylor

MedSys Group, a healthcare IT consulting firm and staffing provider based in Plano, Texas, appointed Steven Heck as chairman, effective Jan. 1. He replaces Luther Nussbaum, who led the board since 2012 and will remain on the board as chairman of the audit and compensation committees. Heck has served as MedSys Group president since January 2013 and joined the board of directors in June 2013. Founder and CEO Alan Kravitz now takes on the role as interim president, and Heck will assist him with strategic and operational initiatives.

Job board operator Dice Holdings Inc. (NYSE: DHX) appointed Burton Goldfield, president and CEO of TriNet Group Inc. (NYSE: TNET), to its board.

Lucas Group, an Atlanta-based executive search firm, promoted Mat Martin to managing partner of its Chicago legal practice group. Prior to joining Lucas Group as a senior executive search consultant three years ago, Martin served as managing director at Astor Professional Search. Lucas Group also promoted James (Jim) Lose to managing partner of its military transition division in Washington D.C., Prior to joining Lucas Group in 1999, Lose served eight years in the United States Marine Corps as an intelligence officer.

Gatti & Associates, a national search firm specializing exclusively in human resource executives, appointed Alice Koehn Benson as senior VP, executive search. Prior to joining Gatti & Associates, Benson led the Boston office of Coulter Partners.

Wisconsin executive search firm Management Recruiters of Janesville, an affiliate of MRINetwork, announced Michele Davis is taking over as new owner and will assume management responsibilities from long-time owner Carroll Smith, who will remain as a recruiter. Other firms also recently joined as affiliates of MRINetwork, including: PointsNorth Search Group, a Minnesota-based firm owned by Ross Gilsrud that targets fishing, hunting and shooting manufacturers; Management Recruiters of Thread City, a Hartford, Conn.-based firm owned by Gregory LaFlam that specializes in recruitment for management roles in the banking and commercial lending arena; and Quality Resource Partners, a Simi Valley, Calif.-based firm owned by Michael Sperber that recruits professional in the quality management sector.

RPO solutions and executive search provider Taylor Strategy Partners announced Drew Rothschild, VP, managing director, will lead the firm’s new office in Boston.
