People: Heidrick & Struggles, Optomi, RSR Partners, Koya and more

Here are recent promotions, new hires and other personnel announcements made by staffing firms. Today’s listings include announcements from Heidrick & Struggles, Optomi, Koya Leadership Partners, RSR Partners, Newhouse + Noblin, Resnik Partners, Arrow Strategies and Labor Smart.

Executive search firm Heidrick & Struggles International Inc. (NASD: HSII) named Michael Loiacano head of its North American healthcare services and managed care practices. Based in the Chicago office, Loiacano is also a member of the firm’s global life sciences and insurance practices.

Optomi LLC hired Tammy Hawkins as vice president, West region, for its new branch in Newport Beach, Calif., the firm’s fourth hub office. Hawkins previously was vice president at Software Management Consultants Inc. The IT staffing firm also hired Laura Chevalier as its new vice president of national accounts. Chevalier previously was strategic sales executive at VisionIT.

Newburyport, Mass.-based Koya Leadership Partners, a retained executive search firm serving the non-profit sector, hired Alison Ranney as principal. Ranney will lead the firm’s new Chicago office. She previously was an executive recruiter at Russell Reynolds Associates in Chicago.

RSR Partners, a Greenwich, Conn.-based board and executive search firm, appointed Ann Fastiggi as managing director and head of the firm’s hospitality and leisure practice.

Newhouse + Noblin, an executive search firm that places attorneys, added former fund attorney Claire Hetherington Darr to lead its financial services recruiting division.

Resnik Partners, the Denver office of Career Partners International, named Erin Cunningham to the new role of director of career transition services and operations. Cunningham most recently developed and implemented leadership, management and high-potential employee programs at Sports Authority. Prior to Sports Authority, Cunningham was associate director for academics-athletics at the University of Colorado in Boulder.

Arrow Strategies, a Bingham Farms, Mich.-based staffing company, hired Trevor Schleicher as healthcare division director. Schleicher will be responsible for the division's go-to-market strategies, P&L, and managing its sales and recruiting functions.

Labor Smart Inc. (OTCBB: LTNC), a provider of industrial staffing, announced Donna Frank is the office manager of its new branch location in Denver. Prior to the Denver office, Labor SMART had a primarily regional presence with a strong concentration in the southeastern U.S.
