People: Futurestep, SolomonEdwards, On Assignment, Interim, Korn Ferry and more

Here are recent promotions, new hires and other personnel announcements. Today’s listings include announcements from Futurestep, SolomonEdwards, On Assignment, Interim HealthCare, Korn Ferry, and The Caldwell Partners.

Futurestep, a subsidiary of Korn/Ferry International Inc. (NYSE: KFY), appointed David Aberman as vice president of business development and Christine Sobhani as client solutions director. Aberman will be responsible for business development and strategic sales of talent acquisition solutions in the North American market. Sobhani will lead client management and service delivery for global RPO accounts based in North America.

SolomonEdwards appointed Milissa Ales-Barnicoat to the newly created role of chief sales officer, focused initially on the organization’s business consulting practice. Ales-Barnicoat previously was senior vice president of international sales and account management for Adecco Group. She also held senior sales positions at Akraya Inc., Aquent, Globalign Inc. and Manpower Inc. SolomonEdwards is a business advisory and professional staffing firm based in Wayne, Penn.

On Assignment Inc. (NYSE: ASGN) nominated Arshad Matin to the board and Matin accepted the nomination, according to a filing with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission. Matin was also appointed to serve as a member of the board’s compensation committee. Matin, age 50, has been the president, chief executive officer and a board member of Paradigm Ltd. since May 2013. Paradigm, which develops software solutions for the global oil and gas industry, was acquired by Apax Partners in 2012 for $1 billion.

The former CEO of Interim HealthCare Inc., Ann Olson, was appointed to the board of directors of Qualidigm, a Wethersfield, Conn.-based healthcare consulting company, effective immediately. She will serve on Qualidigm’s board of directors for a three-year term.

Executive search firm Korn Ferry (NYSE: KFY) announced Kenneth Bloom joined the firm as senior client partner. Bloom will be based in Korn Ferry’s New York office and serve in the global logistics and transportation services practice. He previously was CEO and a member of the board of directors at INTTRA Inc., a web portal for ocean-containerized freight.

The Caldwell Partners (TSX: CWL), a Toronto-based executive search firm with operations in Canada and the U.S., announced Todd Bennett joined the firm as a partner in the industrial and private equity practices. Bennett will be based in the firm’s Dallas office and recruit senior executives in the transportation, distribution and logistics industry, as well as senior operators at private equity- and venture-backed companies.

Infinity Consulting Solutions, a staffing firm headquartered in New York, announced Regional Director Leroy McKinnis and Managing Partner Matthew Walden will oversee a new branch in Atlanta. The office will primarily target the IT, accounting and finance, and compliance sectors.

Labor Smart Inc. (OTCBB: LTNC), a provider of industrial staffing serving the southeastern U.S., announced Nowell White is manager of its new branch office in in Montgomery, Ala., the company’s 30th office. Labor SMART also has Alabama offices in Birmingham and Mobile.
