People: Eliassen, AMN, Corporate Resource Services, Oasis, Heidrick

Eliassen Group, a Wakefield, Mass.-based information technology staffing firm, named Kevin Rice branch manager of its new office in Reston, Va. Rice has been a staffing sales executive in the northern Virginia market for 20 years.

AMN Healthcare Services Inc. (NYSE: AHS), the largest US healthcare staffing firm, announced President, CEO and Director Susan Salka has been elected to the McKesson Corp. board of directors, effective Oct. 20. She will also be a member of McKesson’s audit and governance committees. McKesson is a healthcare services and information technology company and currently ranks 15th on the Fortune 500.

Corporate Resource Services Inc. (NASD: CRRS), a New York-based staffing provider, appointed Sy Holzer to its board of directors as chairman of the company’s audit committee, effective immediately. He replaces Karen Amato, who resigned. Holzer is president of PNC Bank-Pittsburgh. Kenneth Urish will also join the company as a strategic advisor. Urish is managing partner at Urish Popeck & Co. LLC, as well as a trustee of BlackRock Liquidity Funds, where he serves as a member of the audit, governance, compliance, and valuation and pricing committees.

Oasis Outsourcing, a professional employer organization based in West Palm Beach, Fla., hired Laurie O’Kane as district manager to oversee its new office in Minneapolis. Staffing Industry Analysts ranks Oasis Outsourcing as the third-largest PEO staffing firm in the United States.

Executive search firm Heidrick & Struggles International Inc. (NASD: HSII) added John Davidson as a partner in the firm's global industrial practice, targeting the aviation and transportation sector. He most recently led the transportation practice at a boutique search firm as managing director. Additionally, Lyndon Taylor rejoined the firm as partner within the financial services practice. Taylor joined Heidrick’s Houston office in 2001 as principal but spent the past decade at a global executive search firm, most recently as managing director within the financial services practice. Both Davidson and Taylor will be based in Chicago.

Recruitment process outsourcing provider Hire Velocity appointed Sara West as operations manager, a new position within the company. West most recently was a financial analyst for Signal Hill Capital Group in New York, where she specialized in the IT services and IT security software sectors.

Newhouse + Noblin, an executive search firm that places attorneys, promoted Beth Walker to principal and senior vice president, business development. Walker has led the firm’s recent expansion in Houston.
