Executive search firm Egon Zehnder appointed German Herrera as industrial practice leader for North America. Herrera has managed the firm’s Miami office since 2006. He joined Egon Zehnder in 1998 to oversee the opening of its office in Bogotá, Colombia. In addition to his work in the industrial, CEO and board practices, Herrera has been an active member of the firm’s family business advisory practice.

Executive search firm ZRG Partners added Susan Baldwin as managing director of the healthcare services practice. Baldwin has 20 years of industry and search experience, most recently with CTPartners and before that, Spencer Stuart. She will work out of ZRG Partners’ downtown Chicago offices.

Day & Zimmermann, a provider of staffing services to the power industry, promoted Director of Projects Thomas W. Ensminger to VP of labor relations for Day & Zimmermann NPS, a division of the company’s engineering, construction and maintenance group. He will be responsible for the company’s overall labor strategy and provide support and counsel to both internal and external stakeholders. Ensminger has worked at Day & Zimmermann for 26 years in a variety of roles.

Recruitment firm Slone Partners appointed three new members to its advisory board to address intensifying hiring demands among companies in the diagnostics, life science tools, healthcare information technology and laboratory testing industries:

• Mara Aspinall is executive chairman of GenePeeks, and a member of the board of directors of Castle Biosciences and Blue Cross Blue Shield Arizona. She is also a co-founder of the School of Biomedical Diagnostics at Arizona State University.
• Kathryn Griffin has more than 25 years of recruiting, change management and executive transitions experience with firms including Accenture and Korn Ferry International. She is owner and principal of Ariel Consulting LLC.
• Kyle Wilson is a partner with BroadOak Capital Partners, which provides investment banking advisory services and growth capital investments to companies within the life science research tools and diagnostic markets.

The three join existing advisory board members Dr. Vijay Aggarwal, PhD, managing partner of The Channel Group, and Bijan Salehizadeh, MD, co-founder and managing director at NaviMed Capital.
