Professional employer organization revenue rose 20.2% in the fiscal third quarter at Automatic Data Processing Inc. (NYSE: ADP). The Roseland NJ company reported today that third-quarter PEO revenue was $297.7 million, up from $247.6 million in the same period in the previous year.

The number of worksite PEO employees in the third quarter rose 17% year-over-year to approximately 181,000.

Overall third-quarter revenue at ADP rose 11.8% to $2.42 billion. Net income increased 6.4% to $413.6 million.
