On Assignment Inc. (NYSE: ASGN) sold its nurse travel division for $31.0 million, the company announced today. The division had revenue of $62.2 million in 2012, the company reported in a conference call with analysts.

The deal was completed on Feb. 13, and On Assignment reported it will continue to provide back-office services during a transitional period.

The company had just last month rebranded the division as OA Nurse Travel.

On Assignment is based in Calabasas, Calif. It provides information technology, physician, allied healthcare and life sciences staffing.
