Nevada posts highest jobless rate

Nevada posted the highest unemployment rate among the states in July at 9.5 percent, according to seasonally adjusted numbers released today by the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics. Illinois followed at 9.2 percent.

North Carolina and Rhode Island tied for third at 8.9 percent.

North Dakota again registered the lowest jobless rate, 3.0 percent in July.
