Netherlands – Randstad announces new Dutch organisational structure

28 August 2014

Recruitment giant Randstad announced plans today for a new organisational structure in its home market, the Netherlands, with the aim of creating a more efficient and leaner organisation, to better serve its clients, while keeping the current brand propositions intact.

The proposed changes include:

Creating one joint Randstad Group Netherlands management team - Presently the Dutch operations consist of three separate organisations: Randstad NL, Tempo-Team, and Yacht. The new team will report to Executive Board member Chris Heutink.

In the Netherlands, the company’s existing Professionals businesses are Yacht, Randstad Professionals, and Tempo-Team Professionals. By combining all these operations based on industry sectors (verticals), the company intends to strengthen its position in the professionals segment. This process should be finalised by mid-2015.

As a result of the new organisational structure, staff and support functions will be integrated and the back-office will be streamlined. The process is expected to be complete by the end of 2014.

Chris Heutink commented: “The proposed plans simplify the structure we have had until now in the Netherlands. Growth in Professionals is one of our strategic goals. By building one Professionals business under the Yacht umbrella in the coming year, we create a stronger position in this market. It will also help in addressing client needs in specific market segments such as IT, Engineering and Finance.”

In the company’s most recent quarterly financial statement, revenue growth of +1% was reported in the Netherlands during Q2 2014. According to the company, its initiatives to improve performance are starting to pay off, with strong growth achieved in the Professionals business. This growth, however, follows a decline of -1% in revenue during Q1 2014, as a result of revenue declines in the company’s Tempo Team and Yacht businesses.
