The Nelson Family of Companies, a staffing provider based in Sonoma, Calif., appointed Craig Nelson as chairman of the board. Nelson, the son of company founder Gary Nelson, joined the company in 2001 and served as CEO from January 2012 to September 2013.

The company named Donna Farrugia as CEO effective in September.

“I’m very excited about my new role as chairman of the board and the opportunity to provide strategic long-term planning for Nelson,” said Craig Nelson. “I will be working with an extremely experienced board and our talented new CEO, Donna Farrugia. Over time, I’ve served the company in many capacities and I look forward to using my understanding of the organization to help management take the company to the next level.”

The Nelson Family of Companies operates locations throughout the West Coast and Southwest.
