National Technical Systems Inc. (NASD: NTSC), a Calabasas CA-based product testing and staffing company, said it acquired United States Test Laboratory LLC for $12.5 million in cash plus up to $1.8 million more based on performance. United States Test Laboratory tests body armor, helmets, and other devices. It's based in Wichita KS.

"This acquisition aligns with our growth strategy to provide a wider breadth of services to government, military, and law enforcement agencies," said President and CEO William McGinnis.
