Walmart plans to hire 60,000 seasonal associates, nearly 10 percent more than last year. Meanwhile, Toys‘R’Us plans to hire 45,000 seasonal employees this holiday season at its stores and distribution centers nationwide.

Kohl’s Department Stores today announced it anticipates hiring more than 67,000 associates nationwide this holiday season to support seasonal business in stores and growth in Internet sales. Hiring began this month, and most jobs will be filled by mid-November.

UPS (NYSE: UPS) last week announced plans to hire between 90,000 and 95,000 seasonal workers, while FedEx Corp. (NYSE: FDX) expects to add more than 50,000 seasonal positions.
