Mexico economy to maintain moderate growth

The Mexican economy will maintain its moderate pace of economic growth in 2013, according to The Conference Board. The leading economic index for Mexico increased for the third consecutive month in February, rising 0.8 percent to a reading of 127.1 (2004=100) from January’s reading of 126.1, The Conference Board reported today.

In addition, the index rose 3.1 percent in the six-month period ending in February, after remaining flat over the previous six months. Strengths among the leading indicators have become more widespread in recent months, The Conference Board reported.

The coincident economic index for Mexico remained unchanged in February and stands at 122.8 (2004=100).
