New York County, which includes the New York City borough of Manhattan, reported the highest weekly wage among large counties in the fourth quarter of 2007, the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics reported Thursday. New York County had an average weekly wage of $1,862. It was followed by Santa Clara County CA, home of Silicon Valley, at $1,700.

Cameron County TX posted the lowest weekly wage at $555, followed by Hidalgo County TX at $562.

Pulaski County AR, which includes Little Rock AR, has the highest percentage increase in average weekly wages at 26.2%.
