Majority of firms plan for temps

September 17, 2007

The use of temporary workers is now included in the long-term planning of a majority of companies, according to a survey by OfficeTeam, a division of Robert Half International Inc. (NYSE: RHI). Seventy-one percent of senior executives said the use of temporary employees is in their overall staffing budgets, according to the survey.

"The need for companies to be more agile and responsive to changing circumstances has prompted them to more frequently rely on temporary employees," said Diane Domeyer, executive director of OfficeTeam.
