LocumTenens.com's online job index analyzing demand for locum tenens fell 19.0% in the third quarter to a reading of 1.15 after rising in the second quarter.

The index includes data collected by LocumTenens.com since January 2007 and represents a broad quarterly analysis of demand for locum tenens. This is the first quarter the index has been publicly released.

LocumTenens.com operates the locum tenens job board and is a full-service physician recruitment firm as well.
