Kentucky posted the biggest year-over-year percent increase in “employment services” industry jobs in October among 33 states tracked, according to data from the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics that was not adjusted for seasonality. The number of employment services jobs rose by 18.2 percent in Kentucky to 61,600 in October from the same month a year ago.

The employment services industry includes temporary help services as well as employment placement agencies, executive search services and professional employer organizations.

Hawaii posted the second-largest year-over-year percent increase of 16.1 percent to 20,200 employment services jobs.

At the other end of the spectrum, the number of employment services jobs in Connecticut fell by 6.2 percent to 25,700.
