Hudson Global Inc. is the new name for the Hudson Highland Group Inc. (NASD: HHGP). Shareholders approved the name change on Thursday. The change also includes a new stock symbol, HSON. Hudson will trade on the new symbol starting Monday.

The company is changing its name “to more directly align it with our global business strategy and go-to-market brand ‘Hudson,’” according to a filing with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission.

Hudson, a New York-based provider of professional staffing, ranks No. 72 on Staffing Industry Analysts’ list of largest U.S. staffing firms.
