Executive search firm Heidrick & Struggles International Inc. (NASD: HSII) announced Ron Lumbra joined the firm as region leader for the Americas, effective today. Following a brief transition period, Torrey Foster, who has led the region since 2013, will assume full-time market responsibilities as a partner in both the consumer and CEO and board practices.

Lumbra will be based out of Heidrick’s New York City office and lead a team of more than 350 partners, principals and associates. 

Lumbra most recently was managing director and co-leader, Americas CEO and board services, at executive search firm Russell Reynolds Associates. Previously, Lumbra co-led the firm’s Americas operations. His early career included leadership roles at HP, Trammel Crow and AES, followed by executive positions at Amoco, where he served as VP, business development and then regional VP for Amoco Power Resources, Latin America.
