The U.S. Department of Labor recently announced emergency grants to New York, New Jersey and Rhode Island to assist with restoration of public lands and infrastructure devastated by Hurricane Sandy. The grants are also aimed at providing temporary employment to those in need of jobs.

New York’s grant will total $27.8 million, New Jersey’s grant will total $15.6 million and Rhode Island’s grant will total $1.5 million.
