Staffing Services Family of Companies appointed Howard A. Zimmerman as VP and member of its executive management team. Staffing Services Family of Companies supplies contingent labor, direct hire, payroll servicing, master vendor programs, and consulting services nationwide in variety of vertical markets. 

Zimmerman will oversee Industrial Staffing Services Inc., Rotator Staffing Services Inc., Medical Staffing Services Inc. and Block Staffing Services LLC. He will be based in Orange County, Calif.

Zimmerman most recently was chief operating officer at Volt Information Sciences Inc. (NYSE MKT: VISI). According to a filing with the US Securities and Exchange Commission, he left the company last year after for 27 years with the firm. Volt President and CEO Ron Kochman also left the company in June.
