Either gender not advantage in staffing industry

October 14, 2015

The overwhelming majority of North American staffing company executives — both male and female — feel their gender is neither an advantage nor disadvantage in the working world generally, in the staffing industry in particular, or in their own company, according to a survey recently released by Staffing Industry Analysts.

Among the remaining execs who think gender matters, 19% of female staffing execs reported their gender is actually an advantage in the staffing industry, suggesting the industry is not as male-dominated as other industries.

Of the male executives surveyed, only 8% reported their gender is an advantage in the staffing industry.

“Although men still outnumber women in the top ranks of the staffing world, it’s a testament to relative inclusiveness that women executives feel so positively,” said Jon Osborne, VP, strategic research, at Staffing Industry Analysts.

The 2015 Staffing Company Survey was conducted in the summer of 2015. Global results reported for the entire survey reflect the opinions of 515 staffing firms. Corporate members of Staffing Industry Analysts can access the gender fairness in staffing report online.
