ECRI Index Level Up

The Economic Cycle Research Institute’s weekly leading index of the U.S. economy rose to a reading of 126.5 in the week ended March 30. It was up from the prior period’s reading of 125.8 and the highest reading since August. The index’s growth rate rose to 1.0 percent from a growth rate of 0.0 percent in the prior period.

The growth rate is based on a four-week moving average of the weekly leading index level, compared with the previous year’s moving average.
