Contract Watch: CDI, Command Center

September 15, 2011

CDI Corporation (NYSE: CDI) announced a three-year service agreement with Parker Hannifin’s Parker Aerospace Group to provide managed staffing and project outsourcing services. The deal involved providing managed staffing services to eight divisions in more than 16 locations supplying more than 300 contingent employees. The CDI engineering solutions team will recruit and hire temporary personnel as well as manage a network of suppliers.

Parker Hannifin posted sales of $10 billion in 2010. Parker Aerospace Group provides and supports systems and components for aircraft.

Separately, Command Center, Inc. (OTCBB: CCNI), a Post Falls, Idaho-based provider of industrial staffing, announced it is providing workers to aid in the clean-up and recovery efforts in flooded areas of New York, New Jersey and Pennsylvania affected by Hurricane Irene. The company said these assignments follow other major clean-up efforts in North Dakota following flooding in June. Command Center has also deployed workers in response flooding in the Council Bluffs, Iowa area.

“Currently, Command is sending out 300 to 500 [field team members] daily to cover these flooded locations, and we believe that number could increase during the coming weeks,” said Glenn Welstad, chairman and CEO.
