Command Center Inc. (OTCBB: CCNI.OB) announced today revenue fell 39.9% to $13.2 million in its fiscal third quarter ended Sept. 25 amid the slow economy and closure of eight underperforming stores in the first nine months of 2009. However, average weekly sales of $21,389 per store in September were the highest recorded so far in 2009, the Post Falls ID-based commercial staffing firm reported.

"Sales of $1.12 million for the last week in the quarter were the strongest we have seen in many months, and the preceding week was only slightly lower," Chairman and CEO Glenn Welstad said. "Revenues also remained stronger than expected through the two weeks covering the Labor Day holiday -- which historically have created a drag on September sales."
