Comforce Corp. (AMEX: CFS) posted a 2.0% increase in second-quarter revenue to $152.8 million from $149.7 million in the year-ago quarter. The company said growth was primarily in its human capital management services segment, which includes its PRO Unlimited managed services provider business. PRO Unlimited posted a 3.5% increase in revenue to $3.3 million.

The Woodbury NY-based staffing firm said its staff augmentation revenue fell $280,000.

Second-quarter gross margin improved to 16.0% from 15.5%.

Second-quarter net income rose 48.9% to $1.6 million from $1.1 million in the same period last year.
