Cascade buys travel nurse provider

April 18, 2008

Cascade Healthcare Services LLC announced that it acquired qShift Travel Nurses, a Colorado Springs CO-based, national provider of travel nurses. Terms of the deal were not announced.

"Acquiring qShift fulfills our strategy to expand beyond our current offerings of per diem staffing, training, and medical correctional staffing in the Northwest," said Cascade President and CEO Dave Fiala. "We now have the complementary platform of travel healthcare staffing that allows us to expand each of our core business units nationally."

Seattle-based Cascade's offerings include per diem nurse staffing as well as local travel nurses in the Northwest and allied health staffing. It also provides American Heart Association training, and says it's the largest provider of that in the U.S.

In addition to travel staffing, qShift also provides per diem nurses and allied healthcare professionals.
