CTPartners acquires Australian firm

CTPartners Executive Search Inc. (NYSE MKT: CTP) closed on its acquisition of Johnson Executive Search, an independent executive search and leadership advisory firm based in Sydney, Australia.

The transaction closed March 1 and terms were not disclosed.

The firm will initially operate as CTPartners Johnson but ultimately transition to the CTPartners brand.

Founder Jason Johnson will remain with the company as managing partner, Asia Pacific. The company’s seven partners and principals will also remain, as will the support staff.

“Acquiring Johnson further establishes our geographic footprint in the Asia Pacific region, an area that is anticipated to experience accelerated growth over the coming years,” said CTPartners CEO Brian Sullivan. “Its senior partners have experience and expertise working with some of Asia’s leading companies, so their presence will strengthen our ability to provide clients with quality service and results on a global scale. In addition to its strategic value Johnson will be accretive to earnings in 2014.”

Johnson has offices in Melbourne and Sydney and targets the financial services, legal and professional services, technology and communications, consumer and industrial sectors.
