CEO’s New Firm Announces Equity Raise

May 18, 2012

Accountable Healthcare Holdings Corp. — a new firm led by a founder of Medical Staffing Network — this week announced an equity raise of almost $20 million in a private placement. The firm was begun earlier this year by Robert Adamson, a founder and former CEO of Medical Staffing Network, one of the largest providers of per diem nursing.

Accountable Healthcare focuses on per diem nursing as well, although it also acquired a travel nurse firm, Med-Staff Oklahoma, last month.

This is the third healthcare staffing firm founded by Adamson. He had founded StarMed Staffing LP in 1993 before starting Medical Staffing Network in 1998.

“We liked the industry, we believed it’s coming back quite strongly and thought that this was the appropriate time to get back in there,” Adamson said.

Boca Raton, Fla.-based Accountable Healthcare’s plan calls for more acquisitions and opening of new offices. The firm recently opened an office Clearwater, Fla.
