Adecco Group, the world’s largest staffing firm, appointed Shanthi Flynn as chief human resources officer and a member of the executive committee, effective March 1. She will be based in Zurich, Switzerland.

Current CHRO Mark De Smedt will take on the role of regional head of Northern Europe effective Jan. 1. However, he will hold dual roles until Flynn transitions to her role as CHRO.

Flynn has nearly 30 years of experience in the field of human resources and most recently was senior VP human resources of Walmart Asia, based in Hong Kong, from 2010 to 2015.
