ASA Index Rises in February

February 25, 2011

The American Staffing Association's staffing index rose to a reading of 90 in February, the ASA announced today. That is up one point from January and up 13 percent from February 2010.

The index measures changes in the number of temporary and contract workers both weekly and monthly. Its baseline value of 100 was set in June 2006. Staffing employment is typically lowest during the first few months of each year and grows throughout the subsequent months, the ASA said.
