The Peoplelink Group promotes exec to CEO; firm acquires EHD Technologies

Industrial staffing provider The Peoplelink Group named a CEO and acquired EHD Technologies.

The Peoplelink Group promoted President and COO Jay Mattern to CEO, effective March 13. Mattern joined the firm in 1987 when it was family-owned and run by his grandfather; he took over the president role in 2014.

Peoplelink Group ranks No. 38 on Staffing Industry Analysts’ 2015 list of largest US staffing firms and No. 16 on the list of largest industry staffing firms. It is majority owned by Groupe Crit, a Paris-based staffing provider, which acquired a majority share in PeopleLink in September 2011.

Earlier this year, Sustained Quality, a division of Peoplelink, acquired EHD Technologies, a Brentwood, Tenn.-based firm that provides quality assurance services. In addition, a significant portion of EHD’s business is related to talent acquisition. EHD ranked on the 2015 list of fastest-growing staffing firms.

“The addition of EHD to Sustained Quality’s business lines gives the new combined company a strong foundation in the quality assurance industry,” said Jay Mattern, president and COO of The Peoplelink Group. “The combination of EHD and SQ will move us forward quickly in terms of competitive position and the ability to provide additional quality assurance services to our customers. It’s truly a win-win in every sense of the word.”

The transaction closed Feb. 7; terms were not disclosed.

Peoplelink is based in South Bend, Ind., and ranks as the 38th-largest US staffing firm.
