Marketing/creative staffing firm 24 Seven acquired The Cydio Group, a San Diego-based IT staffing firm, to help expand its client offerings. The deal closed July 31.

“The interconnectedness of the IT, digital marketing and creative industries today demands a holistic approach to talent solutions,” 24 Seven CEO Anthony Donnarumma said in a press release. “Welcoming The Cydio Group into our family of brands enables us to deliver seamless end-to-end services to clients seeking comprehensive solutions for all their digital needs.”

SIA ranks 24 Seven as the third-largest US marketing/creative staffing firm. The deal was announced Aug. 22 and marks 24 Seven’s second acquisition of the year. The New York-based firm announced in March that it acquired SketchDeck, a design agency based in Walnut Creek, California.

“By combining our expertise in IT staffing with 24 Seven’s extensive global reach in the digital marketing and creative industries, we can provide unparalleled — and integrated — talent solutions to any business navigating the rapidly evolving digital landscape,” Curt Sterling, co-founder of The Cydio Group said in a press release.

Sterling is staying on as managing director of The Cydio Group, the company said in an email.

Terms of the transaction were not announced.
